2018 Helping Hearts Event

Thursday, May 3, 2018 - 4:02pm

My Dentist in Plano hosted the second annual Helping Hearts event on Saturday, April 7th 2018. We welcomed our Plano community members that are in need of dental care to receive necessary dental treatment. Everyone that attended enjoyed activities like games, prizes, music, bounce house, pony rides, clowns, massages, and delicious food. Despite the unseasonably cold and windy weather, the Helping Hearts event was successful and everyone was able to enjoy a day focused on community and oral health.

Much needed dental work was provided to those in need and who are part of life-changing organizations. We were honored to provide change to New Friends, New Life, a group that helps women, teens, and children of human and sex trafficking. Hopes Door, New Beginnings helps individuals and families affected by intimate partner and family violence. Denton Freedom House supports men who are seeking a life free of sin and addiction. Child & Family Guidance Center provides mental health services to strengthen children, families and communities. Val’s Place of Hope and Samaritan Inn continue to serve those in a position of homelessness to regain dignity and independence.

It is because of our community that we were able to provide relief to 59 people who would otherwise not receive dental treatment. In total, we performed $15,974-worth of dentistry for the Plano community.
